Last weekend we told you about the long-running Harrison Tulip Festival, but that’s not the only place to wander through rows and rows of colourful flowers this spring.
The Botanica Flower Festival will also bloom soon in Chilliwack, around 30 kilometres away from the similar event in Harrison.

“Set across 14 acres of farmland, the festival will feature 1.4-million tulips, including more than 250,000 hand-planted bulbs and over 90 varieties of tulips and spring flowers,” Botanica organizers say.
“Visitors can explore vibrant field rows, a curated display garden, a wildflower section and Botanica’s signature sun-shared daffodil planting, creating a series of immersive floral landscapes designed for wandering, photography and seasonal enjoyment.”
One of the biggest highlights is the festival’s U-Pick, where guests can gather their own bouquet of seasonal blooms.
There will also be some fun themed events at the farm throughout April, such as Petals & Pilates, Petals & Pints and Petals & Provisions (an artisan market).

“We love creating a place where people can slow down and enjoy the beauty of spring together,” says Jen Giesbrecht, co-owner and co-operator of the farm and festival.
“With new events, collaborative installations and millions of blooms, this season is shaping up to by our most exciting yet.”’
The Botanica Flower Festival has been held at 41310 Royalwood Dr. in Chilliwack every spring since 2017.
It will run from 9 am until 7 pm daily once it opens, but that opening date will depend on Mother Nature and when the tulips bloom.
You can visit the Botanica website for more information and follow along on social media for updates and announcements.
